France has 3 months to deliver the Vladivostok, not more

In September, French president François Hollande decided to delay the delivery – initially scheduled on Nov. 14 – of the Vladivostok, the first of the two Mistral vessels purchased by Russia, hoping to push for a normalization of the situation in Ukraine in the meantime. According to official sources quoted by news agency Interfax, “the terms of the contract allowed for the possibility of postponing the delivery of the ship to the customer (Russia) by three months.” Therefore, in Moscow, Vladivostok’s delivery is expected by Feb. 14, 2015.
