China is world’s economic epicenter

According to a French study, it is urgent for (French) companies to set sail for China. OC&C Strategy Consultants cited by newspaper Le Figaro underlined that China remains the central player in the world economy area and that not establishing oneself there in a sustainable way would have the potential to overwhelm one’s leeway. Highlighting France’s lagging behind Germany on this issue the report urged a more pragmatic economic diplomacy. In June 2014, the World Bank wrote that “China’s economic growth is gradually slowing as the structural transformation of the world economy continues,” – with lower levels of economic growth in the long term than in the past. A month ago, China replaced the United States as world’s largest economy, the IMF said. China’s growth is projected to moderate to a more sustainable rate of 7.1 percent in 2015.
