“Definitely!” the former Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton might say. In the midst of a nationwide controversy concerning the 90-day ban on entry into the United States against nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries, members (and former members) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reminded that terrorists did take advantage of their refugee status to prepare and/or perpetrate attacks on American soil.
At least that was what the FBI agent and director of the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) Gregory Carl told ABC News in 2013. There “are trained terrorists in the art of bombmaking that are inside the United States; and quite frankly, from a homeland security perspective, that really concerns me,” Carl explained in a video that resurfaced and reminded the discovery in 2009 of two terrorists having ties with Al Qaeda and living as refugees in Bowling Green (Kentucky).
