USA, Canada commit to good trade

“We recognize our profound shared economic interests, and will work tirelessly to provide growth and jobs for both countries,” wrote US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a joint statement issued after they met for the first time at the White House. The bilateral meeting reassured those who feared for negative developments of the trade relationship between the two countries as Canada remains the most important foreign market for thirty-five US States and more than USD 2 billion in two-way trade flows across the US-Canada border every day.
