Tough road ahead for Vivendi?

The French media group Vivendi’s stock was losing 4.24% at noon today after new information that showed its main TV channel Canal+ France has lost half a million subscribers and 400 million euros in 2016. The group’s financials were deemed disappointing by most financial and banking analysts who found the 2017 turnover objective at +5% a bit too optimistic. Moreover, Vivendi’s CEO Vincent Bolloré would be under investigation by Italian authorities on suspicions of “market manipulation” when Vivendi bought 30% of Mediaset in December 2016.
