In Europe, terrorism is also growing in the countryside

Facts that “install terror” and are motivated by a same extremism are increasing. In the weeks leading up to the assertion of former New York police chief Ray Kelly that said terrorism has become the “new normal” in Europe, data seems to show that terrorism doesn’t geographically limit itself to urban areas any more. The case of France is significant in this respect. Even though it is not a question of “terrorist attacks” according to the judicial authorities, the extremist motivation of some recent facts is hardly doubtful. For example, an individual wandering in a small provincial town mimicking the shots of an automatic weapon and making an apology for terrorism, or a farmer who is badly wounded in his field by an extremist armed with a machete.
